Our Mission

Proclaiming Christ…Building Community…Sharing Hope…Serving Others

This sums up what St. Michael’s Church is always seeking to do. We want people to find a relevant and friendly atmosphere in which to explore and celebrate the good news about Jesus Christ. We want to see people grow deeper in Christian faith and help them to make a peaceful and godly difference to world and to be partners in the work of God’s kingdom.

Our proximity to schools, family residences, student housing and tertiary education institutions gives us a ready motivation to place great importance on children’s ministries, youth ministries and connections with young adult students and workers. We are keen to help people make connections between faith and daily life in our Sunday Services and through a range of groups, seminars and activities. We have great confidence in the Gospel of Jesus Christ as revealed in the Bible. There are a number of people on our ministry team who could help you to discover how being part of St. Michael’s Church could make a difference to you and your world.

Our Services

We hold two services every Sunday. The 10am service runs for about 80-90 minutes and includes Holy Communion three weeks in the month. The 10am service has a children’s program which parents are welcome to join if they would like to. There is morning tea after the service provided by the church which you are welcome to come along to, as we would love to meet you!

The 5:30pm service runs for about 70-80 minutes and includes Holy Communion once a month. Whilst the 5:30pm service does not have a children’s program, children and families are always welcome to join us. There are spaces and facilities for young children including toys and a baby change table.

Both services use the Australia Prayer Book, and include worship, prayer time and a short lesson from the Bible.  Everyone is welcome to join us at either or both services any time of the year, and we would love to meet you.
