Some of us are in paid employment, others in volunteer community service. Some do this while raising a family or still parenting adult children. Others still are active in neighborly care and concerns. “Retirement” has long become a complicated concept and we see people “working” long into their “senior” years. Human beings seem to be “made” for  work of many kinds. But we know work is sometimes a joy and other times it seems a curse. What does the Bible’s teaching say about our work? How does knowledge of the Gospel help to transform our understanding, attitude, and experience of our work? This brief sermon series will address such questions to help us draw on God’s grace for our daily endeavours.
