All children are welcome at St Michaels, whether their parents attend or not. Children begin the service in church with the adults on Sundays at 10am. Part way through the service they enjoy a Children's talk and then are led out to their time of worship in another area of the church building.
Children's church has Bible-based lessons during school term time aimed at providing children with a basic understanding of the Christian faith. Lessons, play and activities are appropriate to their age and understanding.

Children are fundamental to our life as church: When Jesus' disciples asked, "Who gets the highest ranking in the kingdom of God?" For his answer Jesus called over a child whom he stood in the middle of the room and said, "I'm telling you...that unless you return to square one and start over like children, you are not going to get a look-in at the kingdom..."
