“PEACE – the goal of godly care” is the title of our new sermon series for April/May 2023. This series will explore how pastoral care in a church should be a dynamic range of ministries and activities one to another based on the teaching and examples in the New Testament. The goal of pastoral care in the Bible’s teaching is that our love and care for each other should help us to experience the “shalom” of God, that peace which passes all understanding, promised by Jesus to his followers. The series is built around the acrostic P.E.A.C.E. This pastoral peace is made up of Prayer, Encouragement, Availability, Contact, and Example – actions each member of the church community can offer that help foster a peace-filled community of faith. The titles of each sermon are listed in the table below with other details.
