The 10am service runs for about 80-90 minutes. People familiar with Anglican worship services will recognize elements of our services, yet, our style is quite informal, encouraging and friendly, with lots of participation people from all backgrounds. You’ll feel welcome, included and encouraged in faith and life! The music in these services is a mix of old and new, with a variety of styles via different bands and music groups. Holy Communion (The Lord’s Supper) is celebrated at these services on weeks 2, 3 & 4 of the month. There’s a children’s program for kids from pre-school age through junior primary, and a quiet space for younger ones. There is morning tea after the service provided by the church, which you are welcome to stay on for (with good coffee!) to help you get to know some people.
The 5:30pm service runs for about 70-80 minutes and is even more informal in style and highly interactive (e.g. discussion and prayers in groups, Q&A with the preacher, video clips, interviews, etc.). The music at these services is high in energy, contemporary in style and led by a variety of bands. These services include Holy Communion (The Lord’s Supper) on the first Sunday of the month. Afternoon Tea, served from 5pm in the foyer is considered an important part of the 5.30pm services, making people feel welcome around good coffee and conversation.
All worship services at St. Michael’s are based on authorised services from A Prayer Book For Australia.
