Behind the Scenes

Watch the video here

This week’s vicar’s message (see link above) takes a “behind the scenes” look at how our online church services are being produced each Sunday. You’ll get to see what it looks like behind the cameras on site in North Carlton and get a feel for the work that’s being done with limited resources to help continue to give our praise and thanksgiving to God and to be encouraged in our faith in Jesus.

Steve also talks about the changes being made to our church’s website to help us find the resources we need and to better assist new enquirers to get informed and get involved.

You’ll also hear Steve respond to recent questions raised about our current financial situation. Steve reports that like many other parishes in Melbourne, ours has qualified for paid staff to receive the Federal Government’s Jobkeeper payments. This will help offset some costs and help us to retain staff in the immediate, however, lost hall hire donations and cash offerings not received to the end of September total an estimated $26,000. Therefore, we should give thanks for those who have been able to give one-off gifts and those who have kept their commitment to regular online giving, and be mindful of those who cannot give at this time. Steve urges those who can, after prayerful consideration, and without causing hardship, to commit to direct debit on-line giving or refresh their direct offerings (see our bank details below in this email) to support our mission and ministry plans for this year.
